My video, Papel Amarillo, is a contemporary deconstruction of The Yellow Wallpaper by Charolette Perkins Gilman (1892). It examines issues of gender constructs, inscription, role reversal and transformation. The television is a metaphor for the actual yellow wallpaper in Gilman's short story.
