Notes:
Title: A title should be brief, concise, as meaningful, and as clearly related to the contents of the proposal and to the definition of the study as possible. It should contain any key words which you believe will be helpful in retrieving it for research. It should reveal at a glance the nature of the study.
I. Introduction
A. Statement of the Problem includes:
1. Introduction - Abbreviated purpose of the study
This is an optional feature for research proposals. It is required by many editors and publishers for manuscript submission. The reader finds it very helpful and it helps the author to clarify the focus of the study. It should state in not more than two sentences, what the purpose of the study is. It is the question or issue that most interests you about the larger topic area, that seems most important and possible for immediate exploration. This feature allows the reader to understand why they are reading the items contained in the problem statement. That is, this brief feature allows the reader to put this study in the context of the larger problem before reading the full problem and the full purpose statements.
